The Firefly Chorus
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Tonight I stood on the meadow and listened to the firefly chorus, each pulse a silver note that rose above the hush of the night. The insects became lanterns in my mind, their flickering light weaving threads of amber across the dark, stitching stories I never learned but somehow remember. I felt the rhythm guide my thoughts, turning ordinary breaths into verses that fluttered like moths toward an unseen flame. In that brief communion, I understood that creativity is a chorus of tiny hearts beating in sync with the world.
