Echoes in the Gap
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the dimness of a study where shadows stretched across the floor, I sat before the blank page, hearing the faint hum of distant traffic as if it were a whisper outside. Each breath became a metronome, and I let the silence between words settle like dust on a shelf, waiting to be examined. I wrote sentences that lingered, then fell silent, feeling how the gaps held more meaning than any phrase could convey. When I finally closed the notebook, I realized that the spaces I had created were where my thoughts gathered strength, and the quiet was not empty but alive.
