Inverted Sky
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The water lay still, a glassy sheet that caught the clouds and turned them into upside‑down reflections. Each ripple whispered a faint echo of the world above, yet the surface remained unshaken, a quiet mirror to the heavens. I watched how light slipped through the droplets, scattering silver threads across the mirrored firmament, and felt the strange comfort of knowing that even in that fleeting inversion, the ordinary held a secret symmetry. The puddle became a reminder that perception can flip reality, and for a moment I was both observer and reflected sky.
