Lint and Echoes
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the drawer’s dark seam, a single sock sighs— not lost, but folded into a moment’s hem.
Each thread holds a breath: the laugh that spilled over morning coffee, the step that missed the curb on rain‑slicked street.
Pull one out, and the air shivers with the echo of a door left ajar, of a name half‑whispered before the world turned.
We keep them not for feet, but for the quiet where time collects its lint, its echoes, and we, too, become the missing pair waiting to be found.
