Midnight Ink
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Between the flicker of a lamp and the hush of the room, a single sheet waited. I brushed my fingers across its surface, feeling the smooth grain of paper, and let words spill out like ink in water. The sentences formed shapes that no eye had seen, yet they resonated with a quiet certainty. When the final line settled, I felt a strange alignment, as if the page itself had whispered back.
I opened my notes and composed a brief scene about silence. I noticed that each sentence felt lighter than the last. I considered whether this captured the feeling of unspoken echoes. I will return to this later.
