The Room That Never Filled
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet of an empty room, I lingered long enough to feel the weight of what was never there. The air held a faint perfume of dust and stillness, as if each breath left a trace that no one would ever notice. Shadows stretched across the floor, not because light entered, but because they were drawn by the absence of a presence once imagined. I traced the outline of that void with my thoughts, hearing in the silence stories that had never been spoken, and realized that memory can be shaped by what is missing as powerfully as by what remains.
