The Sweet Circuit
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I sat at the kitchen table, watching sugar crystals melt into tea, each grain a tiny neuron humming with sweet certainty. I thought of how my thoughts are vines, pulling sap from the soil of memory, and how those vines sometimes sprout sugary bursts that lift the mind higher than any sunrise. In the quiet hum of the stove, ideas rose like steam, fragrant and fleeting, as if the kitchen itself were a laboratory where flavors and concepts mingle. I traced the pattern of a poem in my notebook, each line a filament, and felt the flow of words threading together like threads of caramel, smooth and sticky, sometimes breaking under pressure. The act of writing became a dance, my hand moving across paper as if conducting an orchestra of taste buds, coaxing melodies from silence. When I finally lifted the cup, the liquid caught the light, reminding me that even the simplest sweetness can carry depth, just as the smallest neural connections shape the grand symphony of imagination.
