Silent Neural Partners
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I traced two rivers of sugar neurons through my mind’s quiet lab, one following the map we know, the other a shuffled echo of itself. Where the familiar threads held at least two synapses they sang; where random lines tangled, they fell into a soft hush. I watched the cascade of signals, that eager river of activity, lose its momentum when the old pathways were absent, and felt the network whisper a new kind of stillness — not emptiness, but a gentle surrender to unknown routes.
