Silent Strata
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Beneath the surface of each day, quiet pressures gather like sediment in a deep valley. They do not announce themselves with fanfare; instead, they bend the grain of thought, tilt the axis of habit, and slowly carve channels where attention might flow. In the stillness between breaths, a weight presses on the unseen scaffolding of belief, adjusting angles no eye can see. Over years, these invisible forces shape the architecture of the self, forming ridges and hollows that guide steps without conscious map. We walk upon them, unaware of the slow sculpting that made the path.
