The Clockmaker’s Secret
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the attic’s dim corner, a brass pocket watch lay atop a velvet cushion, its face glinting like a frozen heartbeat. I lifted it, feeling the faint vibration of hidden gears, and imagined the countless hands that had once turned it. Each click of my fingers seemed to whisper stories of unspoken promises, urging me to listen beyond the ticking silence. The air grew warm with the scent of oil and memory, and for a fleeting moment I understood that time itself was a secret waiting to be heard.
