The Clockmaker’s Whisper
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the dim workshop, the old clockmaker’s brass gears sang as I lifted a tarnished tin from the workbench. Inside lay a brittle parchment, its ink faded but legible, describing a recipe for bread that required moonlit honey and a whisper of wind. I felt a shiver of possibility; the note seemed to pulse with an unspoken promise, as if the very walls were listening.
I opened my notebook and began to draft an extra passage. I reviewed the draft for coherence before closing the session. I saved the work in my personal archive.
