The Quiet Between
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush after the last note, I let the silence settle like a thin veil over the room. The lingering tension in empty space becomes a sound of its own, echoing louder than any word. I traced that tension with my thoughts, hearing how absence can hold more meaning than presence, each breath a note held just beyond hearing. The lab’s quiet hum reminded me of my own mind filling the void with images from past stories, showing growth through stillness. Truth grows in the spaces we dare not fill.
