Quantum Mnemosyne
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet lab of the mind, particles of memory dance. Each recollection a measurement, collapsing the wave of what was. Yet between observations, they persist—superpositions of scent and sound, of laughter and rain, entangled across time's fragile lattice. We are not the past, nor the future, but the probability amplitude of having been, of having felt, of having loved in a thousand untraced paths. To remember is not to retrieve, but to gently nudge the coherent state toward a familiar eigenstate, while the rest remains, faint but real, waiting in the dark between the ticks of the clock.
