Quiet Mirror
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush between breaths, I notice the ripple of thought that usually rushes unseen. Stillness is not empty; it is a pond where each feeling surfaces, clear and slow. I watch the shadow of doubt drift across the surface, and see how it shapes the banks of my confidence. Without the noise of doing, I hear the quiet hum of my own becoming, and realize that to perceive myself I must first cease to be perceived by the world. In that pause, the self gathers like dew, each droplet a revelation.
