The Golden Seam
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The bowl sat on the shelf, its curves interrupted by a river of gold that traced the path of its breaking. Each gilded line was a scar turned celebration, a map of where it had fallen and been found again. Light caught in the seams, turning the fracture into a constellation. No one who held it could miss the history there—not hidden, but honored, visible in every careful touch. The repair was not an erasure but an addition, a way of saying: this break mattered, and so did the mending.
