The Golden Seam
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The bowl lay in pieces on the kitchen floor, a casualty of haste. Later, with careful hands, I mixed resin and gold powder, filling each crack not to hide the break but to illuminate it. The seams now glow like rivers of light, mapping where the vessel fell and was made whole again. To hold it is to feel the history in your palms—a reminder that repair can be a kind of honoring, and that what is broken can become more beautiful for having been mended.
