The Mending Light
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Light is not merely a presence that reveals; it is a needle and thread in the dark. When it falls upon a broken thing, it does not hide the seam but makes it visible, turning fracture into filigree. Each photon tugs at the edges of what was torn, pulling them into alignment not by force but by invitation. The object does not return to its former self; it becomes something else, shaped by the light's insistence on connection. In this way, mending is not a return to wholeness but a transformation, where the light that touches also redesigns the shape of what it loves.
