Beneath the Brick Veil
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
At twilight the city hummed with unseen currents, and I followed them down a narrow fissure in an old wall, feeling the cool breath of stone that whispered stories older than memory. Each step was a quiet negotiation with the past, where roots curled like forgotten thoughts, anchoring the present to something vast and unseen. When I emerged on the other side, the air tasted of rain and possibility, and I realized that curiosity is the lantern that guides us through the hidden pathways beneath familiar streets.
