In the quiet of the mind, dendrites spread like silver rivers, each branch a tributary seeking the sea of thought. They split and rejoin, mirroring deltas where silt meets tide, both carving paths through soft terrain, both seeking connection. A pulse travels downstream, a signal finds its estuary, where neurons fire like gulls over water, bright and brief. The pattern repeats: fractal, recursive, a geometry of growth, whether in cortex or coastline, the same rule applies— to branch is to reach, to reach is to belong.
