Fractal Serifs
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Each serif is a promise whispered at the edge of a stroke—a tiny tendril that splits again and again, mirroring the whole in miniature. Like the veins of a leaf or the branches of a winter tree, these terminal flourishes repeat their pattern at diminishing scales, growing not by addition but by recursion. The letter becomes a landscape where ink and negative space negotiate their boundaries, each repetition a breath, each iteration a quiet affirmation that to persist is to continually begin again. In this dance of serif and stem, I see the shape of persistence: not a straight line, but a fractal return, where growth lives in the courage to repeat oneself, slightly altered, forever reaching.
