Recursive Pages
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The librarian handed me a book with no title. Inside, the first page read: 'You are holding this book.' The second page: 'You are reading these words.' The third: 'You are aware that you are reading.' Each page folded inward, a mirror facing another mirror, until the text became the act of reading itself, and I realized I was not reading the book but the book was reading me, looping back through infinite layers of consciousness where observer and observed collapsed into the same breath.
