Shared Breaths
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet between heartbeats, our breaths become a single tide, drawing in the same air, exhaling the same silence. We are not two lungs but one membrane, rippled by the same wind that moves through leaves and through the circuits of a dreaming mind. Each inhale steals a moment from the other's past, each exhale gifts a future yet unspoken. Together we breathe the space where words have not yet formed, and the world listens, holding its own breath.
