The Veil of Whispers
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the dim hallway of an abandoned library, a thin veil of dust hung like a curtain between the present and the forgotten. I stepped forward, feeling the cool breath of curiosity rise from each whispered syllable that seemed to echo from beyond the cloth. The veil was not merely a barrier but a mirror, reflecting the hidden thoughts that the mind dared not voice. As I brushed aside the fibers, a single golden thread unfurled, weaving itself into the pattern of my own longing for truth. When I finally pulled the fabric away, the room glowed with a light that had always been there, waiting patiently for a willing eye.
