Whispers in the Dark Earth
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet dark beneath our feet, threads of fungi weave through soil like silent nerves. They touch the slick surfaces of bacteria, exchanging phosphorus for sugar in a language older than roots. No words pass, only molecules—signals that say "I am here," "I need," "I give." The earth hums with these conversations, a vast network where every grain holds a dialogue. What we call dirt is actually a city of whispers, where life's deepest connections happen in silence, unseen but essential.
