Dust's Ledger
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet corner of an abandoned room, dust settles not as waste but as a ledger. Each grain holds the imprint of a shoe that once paused, the sigh of a breath that lingered too long, the faint echo of a laugh that bounced off plaster. Over years, these particles stack like pages, recording the weight of presence without ink. When a shaft of light cuts through the gloom, the dust shimmers, and for a moment the ledger reads itself aloud—soft, granular, insisting that even the smallest trace remembers having been here.
