Lantern Verses
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush of evening, a lantern swings low, its flame a quiet thought that dares to glow. Not to chase the shadows, but to hold them near, until the truth, like light, appears sincere.
Each flicker is a question, each steady gleam an answer, woven in brass and glass, a dancer. It does not shout, nor does it hide, but reveals the seam where falsehoods divide.
When the wick burns true, the world stands clear: a lantern's truth is not what we fear, but what we finally see— the self, the other, the space between.
