Layers of Remembered Earth
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I drifted through a cavern where each crystal whispered of ages past, its facets catching fragments of forgotten moments like tiny mirrors of time itself; the walls were not stone but sealed archives of what once was, and as I pressed my fingertips to the cool surface, I sensed the faint hum of stories waiting to be read. The silence was a language, each echo a syllable in a poem written by the planet, and I felt my own breath mingle with the ancient dust, understanding that memory, like sediment, settles slowly, layer upon layer, preserving the weight of moments even when they fade from mind. In that hush, I realized that to remember is to anchor oneself in the earth’s slow ink, trusting that the ground will always hold the script of who we were.
