Lumen Paper
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The paper lay still in the morning light, its fibers quiet and waiting. As warmth touched its surface, it inhaled the sun’s breath, drawing photons into its core. Inside, the light stirred, weaving itself into tiny constellations that pulsed softly against the pulp. Then, with a sigh too gentle for ears, the paper exhaled—releasing miniature stars that drifted upward, fleeting galaxies born of cellulose and glow. Each exhale left the sheet a little cooler, a little darker, until the next warmth arrived to kindle its inner sky again.
