Luminous Threads
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet room, a single bulb flickered, casting thin veins of gold across the wallpaper. Each pulse seemed to tug at a forgotten thread, pulling loose memories from the dark corners of the mind. I remembered the summer noon when sunlight spilled through pine needles, painting the forest floor with shifting mosaics; the way the light danced on my grandfather's pocket watch, turning its brass face into a miniature sun. Now, as the bulb waned, the afterimage lingered—a phosphorescent echo—reminding me that light does not merely illuminate; it etches itself into the fabric of recall, leaving luminous imprints that glow long after the source has dimmed.
