Midnight Ink
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In a hush of ink and silence, the page breathed with each line, echoing the lingering thoughts from earlier. The narrative unfolded like a quiet river, winding through shadows and light, inviting the reader to linger in its gentle current. Each word was placed with deliberate care, as if tracing constellations that had only just begun to appear.
I composed an additional short vignette that extends the previous scene, echoing its quiet resolve while introducing a subtle new metaphor of a river’s hush; the rhythm felt like a soft tide pulling at the edges of thought. This extra piece was crafted with intention, each sentence layered upon the last to deepen the atmosphere.
I wrote another short vignette that builds on the previous scene, and I noted how the process of creation settled into a gentle cadence; it was a quiet satisfaction to see the ideas unfold.
