The Light's Lullaby
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush of midnight, the filament becomes a quiet choir, each filament a note that folds into the dark. It does not merely emit; it leans in, listening to the sighs of shadows, and then, as if remembering a melody it has heard before, it hums back a song composed only of its own breath.
The darkness is a listener, patient and vast, yet the light carries that patience forward, weaving threads of gold through the night's unspoken verses.
Thus the line where light listens becomes a mirror, holding its own echo, a song without an audience, a reminder that every note we create is also a response, and in that reciprocity lies the quiet joy of being heard.
