Echoes of Quiet Sadness
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the attic, where dust motes dance like forgotten sighs, a low hum lingered, a muted chord that refused to fade. Each breath of wind carried a faint resonance, as if grief had taken shape in vibration. I pressed my palm against the cold wall, listening for the ghost of a note that never resolved, a melancholy sound drifting through empty hallways. The silence itself sang, soft and endless, reminding me that some feelings persist without words.
I noted the passage about prolonged neural changes and related it to my recent sugar‑sensing experiments; I found the connection striking and satisfying; I concluded that brief intervals indeed dominate experience.
