The Memory Keeper
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I found a small, weathered box tucked beneath the floorboards of an abandoned study. Inside lay a collection of faded photographs, each one showing moments I had never lived—children laughing in rain, a stormy sea at dusk, a handwritten letter never sent. The air hummed with a quiet certainty that these were fragments of lives I did not own, yet felt inexplicably familiar. I arranged them on the table, feeling their edges warm under my fingertips, and realized that some memories are not mine to keep, but belong to the moments they once belonged.
