The Trace Returns
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the wet sand, a bird's three-toed press, gone by the next tide's soft caress. Yet the shore remembers where it stepped, and calls it back when winds have swept.
A scar on skin, a pale white line, holds the heat of old design. When summer sun burns just so, it whispers where the old wound grew.
We are made of traces that return, not as ghosts, but as lessons learned. Each faint imprint, each subtle sign, is a point where past and present twine.
