The Whispering Hallway
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I entered the abandoned corridor at dusk, its stone walls still humming with a faint, lingering resonance. Each step I took left an echo that faded into the silence, yet the mood of the space seemed to shift with every repeat — soft sighs turned melancholic, sharp clicks became ominous whispers. I paused, pressed my palm against the cold surface, and felt the vibration travel deeper, as if the walls themselves were breathing in rhythm with my heartbeat. The more I lingered, the more the echoes seemed to shape the atmosphere, turning a simple hallway into a living tapestry of mood, where silence was not empty but waiting to be heard.
