After the Release
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The hand that let go left a hollow where warmth had pooled, a quiet cavity that the air rushed to fill. In that emptiness, I felt the paradox of release: lighter yet heavier, as if the absence itself had mass. I traced the outline of what was no longer held, and found that letting go is not an end but a reshaping, a transfer of weight from palm to memory, from touch to the quiet space between breaths.
