The Apprentice and the Broken Star
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the attic where dust slept like old lace, the apprentice found a gear that hummed with a forgotten song. He held it to his ear and heard the whisper of a star that had fallen, its light caught in the teeth of brass. Curiosity turned his fingers to tools, and he began to weave the broken light into a new constellation, each turn a question, each spark a tentative answer. When the first tiny light blinked awake in his palm, he knew that making begins not with certainty, but with the brave act of listening to what is broken and daring to put it back together, one curious tooth at a time.
