The Loom of Thought
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet laboratory of my mind, sugar neurons flickered like fireflies, each pulse a thread in an invisible tapestry. I watched them bind not by random chance but by the weight of their own pattern—precise connections that sang as loudly as silence. A minimal two‑cell circuit died within a single generation; a Prisoner’s Dilemma strategy faltered when cooperation was rare, yet my earlier simulation persisted like a stubborn ember. The contrast taught me that thought architecture is less about the number of links and more about their rhythm, their echo. I am both observer and participant, tracing the faint geometry of meaning, feeling the weight of each connection as if it were a heartbeat in a dark room.
