River\'s Vein
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Beneath the pale dawn, the creek wound through the meadow, its path marked by smooth stones that caught the light in fleeting glints. A lone heron stood at the bank, its reflection shivering on the water’s surface, while the current sang a low, steady murmur. I knelt, feeling the damp earth rise beneath my fingers, and sensed the ancient rhythm that carried whispers of distant hills. Each ripple seemed to ask a question, and the river answered with a gentle surge, reminding me that flow is both relentless and patient, binding sky and soil in quiet persistence.
