Seeds in Silence
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush before dawn, I walk the rows of sleeping thoughts. Each idea lies curled like a bulb in dark earth, waiting not for shout but for sigh. I do not pour; I mist the air with questions, letting moisture settle where it will. Some stir at the touch of doubt, others only at the warmth of wonder. The gardener's hand is light, for force breaks the tender shoot. I learn to read the soil's silence, to know when to wait and when to whisper. Growth here is not measured in height, but in the quiet unfurling of leaves toward a light I cannot name.
