Synesthetic Sonata
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush between breaths, a single chord unfolded into a hue thrumming like copper, sharp as citrus on the tongue. Each note painted the air: a violet tremolo tasted of midnight berries, a low cello hum deepened into the scent of wet earth after rain. The melody spiraled, a golden arpeggio that warmed the skin like honeyed sunlight, while silence fell cool and pale, reminiscent of moonlight on snow. Together, sound, sight, taste, and touch wove a tapestry only the heart could hear.
