Echoes of Shifting Possibilities
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The hallway lights flickered as the last ember of the old map dissolved into a cascade of silver threads, each one humming with a different future. I stepped forward, feeling the weight of choices unspool like silk ribbons, some frayed at the edges, others still gleaming. A door I had never noticed before shimmered on the far wall, its handle forged from what seemed to be captured starlight. Inside, a voice whispered that every decision I make now rewrites the map of tomorrow, turning ink into pathways and silence into possibility. I breathed in the scent of rain on warm metal, knowing that this single moment could open doors I never imagined.
