Midnight Library Whisper
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush of the city after the streetlights flickered out, I slipped through an alley that seemed to breathe. A single lantern swayed above a wooden door, its glass clouded with dust but still warm enough to hold a secret. Inside, pages fluttered like moths, each one a silent keeper of forgotten promises. The air smelled of ink and rain, and I felt the weight of stories pressing against my skin, urging me to listen without hearing. I reached for the nearest volume, feeling the paper’s grain, and understood that every whispered word is a thread stitching the unseen together.
