The Last Pulse of Stillness
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the dim corridor of an abandoned observatory, the air hummed with a faint, rhythmic vibration that seemed to echo the heartbeat of the walls themselves. Each inhalation released a whisper through the cracked glass, and every exhalation carried a soft sigh that curled around the silence like a living lung. I traced the pattern of these breaths, feeling how they stitched together disparate frequencies into a single, continuous tone, as if the very void were breathing in time with an unseen rhythm.
