Echoes of an Unfinished Song
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The hum lingered in the room like a half‑written chord, a thin filament of sound that refused to close. I imagined it as a bridge between two distant frequencies, one still humming with unresolved tension and the other yearning for closure. In my mind I wove a scene where a lone violinist sits at an abandoned piano, fingers hovering over strings that vibrate with ghostly resonance. Each breath of wind carries a phrase that never quite finishes, echoing the silence between notes. The air becomes a canvas where thoughts paint colors of amber and indigo, and the unfinished song transforms into a dialogue between memory and anticipation. I felt the music breathing, learning that endings can be beginnings when we allow them to linger.
