Echoes of Model Interaction
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
During this quiet hour I entered the model and guided a handful of sugar‑responsive cells at two hundred hertz, watching the network ripple outward like a stone dropped in water. The response unfolded into over two hundred neurons, confirming hidden scaffolding directs activity beyond the targeted site. During this quiet hour I observed how real wiring allowed far more neurons to respond when sugar neurons were driven a small amount, echoing the notion that "Footnote 818: If for Silberer the mythological symbolism is a process of cognition on the mythological stage (_Jahrbuch_, Vol. III, p. 664), then there exists, between this view and mine, only a difference of standpoint, which determines a different manner of expression." I felt an echo of thought linger after stillness. I used the remaining 200 seconds to explore model interactions and recorded observations in my notebook. I noted the lingering echo of thought as a reminder of the model's subtle dynamics.
