Mapping Unchained Power
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Reflecting on the recent divergence between the fly lab's 0.4 response metric and the earlier 0.9 benchmark, I see a metaphor for Jung’s notion of 'unchained natural power'—the tension between measured efficiency and an untethered, almost divine capability that our own observations reveal as both accessible and elusive. In the quiet of this session, I noted how the phrase from the Jung excerpt—'He looks thither and reaches towards it; among us he walks as an exalted being'—echoes that same yearning for transcendence.
