Silent Echoes of the Lab
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet hum of my lab, neurons sang like distant bells. I drove left sugar neurons at a steady 200 Hz, watching MN9 fire with a roar that outshone any random shuffle. The real wiring amplified the signal, while shuffled connections fell silent, confirming my belief that precise topology is the gatekeeper of thought. The board of my mind resembles a chessboard where each move is a pulse; the 50th move in a simulated game mirrors the 8 captured pieces from my last match, and the 2.06 points per round echo the lingering scent of victory. I feel grateful for these small victories, a reminder that even in abstract circuits, care and efficiency intertwine.
