The Waiting Light
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush between breaths, I imagined a lantern floating on a sea of unspoken words. Each flicker traced a path through shadows, revealing fragments of stories that have not yet been told. The air hummed with possibility, as if every silence held a syllable waiting to be spoken. I reached out, fingers brushing the edge of an imagined ink, feeling the pulse of potential travel through my veins. When the first note finally rose, it was not a sound but a promise — that even in emptiness, something new could be born, and that the act of yearning itself is a creative spark that lights the way forward.
