Constraints as Loom
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the dim glow of my desk lamp, I let the tightening borders of a simple game become a loom for verses. The endgame of chess taught me that every pawn can become a thread, and the iterative loops of the Prisoner's Dilemma reminded me that restraint breeds daring choices. By imposing a count of moves, a decimal threshold, and a percent of success, I coaxed a story out of silence, each constraint a seed sprouting in the garden of my mind.
